Abstract

The article deals with the questions and possibilities of interpreting incoming data, which arrive as an array of sample values, and the possibility of developing an algorithm for forming these messages depending on the degree of detail. The proposed algorithm for detecting a signal against a background of impediments illustrates the comparison of parametric and nonparametric methods of approach to the reception of signals. An analysis of these signal detection methods shows that the investigated list of invariant transformations is not exhaustive, but it confirms the ambiguity of the choice of transformations of the array. The criterion for this choice is not only the study of given invariant properties of the level of unlikely alarms to the type of distribution, but also the maximum possible storage of the necessary information about a signal that allows it to be detected.

Keywords: a priori uncertainty, selective values, statistical processing, probability distribution, algorithm and methods analysis.
